KENT Police is looking for members of the public in Gravesham and Dartford to volunteer to represent their communities.
Residents can now apply to be chair or vice chair of the area’s Independent Police Advisory Group (IPAG) to help the force with its work in supporting victims of crime and anti-social behaviour.
Successful applicants will meet with other volunteers, senior officers and representatives from partner agencies to discuss how Kent Police could improve the services it provides.
One chair and two vice chairs are needed for the north of Kent representing Gravesham, Dartford, Swale and Medway.
Chief Superintendent Steve Corbishley said: "This vital role requires excellent leadership, energy and confidence to provide feedback to the police.
"The volunteers will bring along independent thoughts and views which Kent Police will listen and respond to in order to keep Kent a safe place to live, work and visit."
To apply contact Rebekah Jones on 01622 652039 or e-mail ipagapplications@kent.pnn.police.uk
The closing date for completed application forms is midnight on May 23.
