A JAILED prolific burglar and car thief from St Paul’s Cray has been sentenced to six additional years for biting several prison officers.

John Schock was given the sentence after being found guilty of an attack on two officers while in Elmley Prison on the Isle of Sheppey in June 2011.

His sentence at Maidstone Crown Court last Friday (April 26) is also in connection with an incident on June 30, 2010, while in segregation in Rochester Prison.

Schock bit an officer on the hand, tearing out a chunk of skin.

A Kent Police spokesman said he was later heard to say “I’ve still got the skin in my mouth and it tastes lovely.”

Schock was convicted of five counts of GBH, one of actual bodily harm and one of common assault.

He will serve at least four years before he is eligible for parole.

The 23-year-old’s last address in Bromley borough was Swallowtail Close, St Paul’s Cray, where he lived with his sister Sarah Schock and her partner Moses Devall.

Mr Devall was murdered by fellow traveller Jimmy Saunders, who was 19 at the time, on October 31, 2009.
