FAMILIES from Bexley found an extreme way to raise money for charity on Sunday (April 28).
Children and adults helped raise more than £3,000 for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance by taking part in an inflatable laser tag, a bungee run and a gladiator joust.
Around 500 people turned out at Bexleyheath Academy for the family fun day which also included a mobile climbing wall, a bouncy castle and a human table football tournament.
The event was run by activity hire specialists Xtreme Vortex and there was also more traditional fun day fare including a coconut shy, a tombola, a raffle and refreshments.
Company co-owner Andy Green said: "The laser tag was really popular with the older children and even the adults.
"We had a few parents on the climbing wall though sometimes they were a little bit more cautious with the heights compared to the kids.
"Every time the air ambulance is called out it costs £2,500 so at least we have managed to pay for one call out which is what we wanted to achieve."
