A CRACKDOWN on crimes relating to licensing issues across Bromley over the weekend has resulted in 30 arrests.

Operation Condor involved officers visiting the borough’s licensed premises and scrapyards and volunteer police cadets undertaking test purchase operations.

The arrests were for offences including GBH, possession of Class A drugs, drink driving, affray and drunk and disorderly.

They included four people – two men aged 41 and 20, and a woman aged 30, all from Biggin Hill and a 25-year-old woman from New Addington - who were arrested for possession of cocaine after a raid at the Black Horse pub, Main Road, Biggin Hill on Friday evening (April 26).

Bromley police spokeswoman Chief Inspector Katrina Smith said: "Yet again we have seen Operation Condor bring in excellent results from our concerted efforts involving officers being deployed across Bromley over the past two days.

“Licensing laws are there for a good reason, as they help protect us from danger and this operation was about keeping our communities safe from harm.

“We will continue to commit resources to this and work hard with our partners to tackle these areas in the future.”
