THE man accused of murdering Swanley woman Natalie Jarvis mused on Twitter about killing someone months before her death, a court heard.

Adam Whelehan made the post on the social networking site on July 3 last year almost exactly three months before Miss Jarvis, 23, was found dead on the ground in Swanley Village Road, Swanley, with more than 20 stab wounds to her neck.

Whelehan, of Roseberry Drive, Sidcup, and best friend Thomas Fuller, of Oakley Drive, Eltham, both 23, are accused of murdering her the night of October 3.

In the tweet, Whelehan wrote: "It's alright to kill someone these days isn't it? "Think I might do that."

Maidstone Crown Court heard how the day after, Whelehan added: "Waiting for the end to come.

"Wishing I had the strength to stand.

"This is not what I planned.

"This is out of my control". There were tears from some of Miss Jarvis's family as prosecutor Ian Acheson spent around an hour reading out a series of texts and tweets between Whelehan, Fuller, Miss Jarvis and others in the weeks leading up to her death.

Whelehan dropped his head while much of the often explicit and foul-mouthed communications were read to the jury of eight men and four women.

One text from Fuller to Whelehan on September 6 read: "To Mr Whelehan: just f***ing stab the c**t or something".

The co-accused's response was: "Got to: she's a p***k", the court was told.

Fuller and Whelehan both deny murder, but Whelehan has admitted killing Miss Jarvis - whom he had been seeing since the summer - in "lawful self defence". The trial continues.
