IT HAS been revealed that a vehicle abandoned in the middle of a Petts Wood road was simply left there, half on the road, half on the pavement.
Police investigations have confirmed that the vehicle was not stolen and had not been involved in an accident.
Officers were called to the white Vauxhall Insignia, which was abandoned in Queensway near Petts Wood Station, at 1.30pm on March 26.
The car caused severe traffic delays in the area, and was eventually moved to a more considerate location.
Police have spoken to the registered keeper of the vehicle and issued him with a fixed penalty notice for obstruction of the roadway.
