A MAN in his 20s had a chunk of his face bitten off in a Sidcup street brawl, according to a witness.

His attacker allegedly drove up to Ellenborough Road in a silver Ford Focus, got into an argument with the victim and began fighting him on the bonnet before trying to run him over.

But the brawler, said to be in his 40s, missed his target and drove into the back of a white camper van instead.

He then got back in his car and drove off following the incident at around midday today.

A female resident of the same block of flats as the victim, who did not want to be named, said: “I heard a car beeping and then shouting so I went to the window.

“Two men were arguing, one outside the car and one inside, before the one in the car got out and they were fighting on the bonnet.

“The guy who was being attacked shouted “he’s bitten my face”.

“I couldn’t really see because he was screaming and bending over and he had blood coming down."

Police were called around midday to reports of criminal damage to a vehicle.

On arrival they found a man in his early 20s with serious facial injuries who was taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Bexley police CID is hunting the suspect, believed to be in his 40s.
