Were they dumped or had they just strayed away from their home? That’s the dilemma that two black kittens gave their rescuers when they were found wandering in a local street.

Anim-Mates fosterer Lynn Thorburn said: “We were alerted by a passer-by. After taking them into my home, we tried in vain to trace their owners.

“Now we want to find them a new home them where they will be loved forever.

“Our vet says they are very healthy and he estimates that they are now about seven months old.

“Rumble is very laidback and likes nothing more than playing with a piece of string on the floor with you, or playing ball.

“Tumble, although a little shy, loves to sit on my lap while I’m watching television.

“Both are affectionate, very curious and love to explore.”

The kittens who have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped will not be homed with very young children.
