A 13-YEAR-OLD Gravesend boy has died in a crash with a digger on the A2.
Steven Perry, of The Avenue, was a passenger in the taxi that collided with an orange Komatsu digger in the early hours of Friday, March 15.
Emergency services were called to the London-bound carriageway at about 12.45am where the teenager was pronounced dead.
The 47-year-old man who was driving the Skoda taxi was taken to William Harvey Hospital in Ashford with non-life threatening injuries.
He has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and been bailed.
The A2 was closed for eight hours while emergency services carried out an investigation.
