TRAIN passengers face minor delays after a lorry struck a bridge near Hither Green station this morning.
Train services between Sidcup and Charing Cross slowed after the vehicle crashed into a bridge off St Mildreds Road around 11.50am.
Network Rail inspectors say there is no major damage to the bridge – which trains pass over – and normal services will continue.
A Network Rail spokesman said: “We sent a structural engineer to the site at 12.30pm.
“An inspection confirmed there was no significant damage to the bridge.”
A spokesman for Southeastern added that trains services along the route might be delayed by up to eight minutes while the inspection takes place.
