AN ARMY cadet force instructor from Chislehurst has been honoured for 26 years service to London cadets.

Captain Daniel King received the Greater London Reserve Forces and Cadets Association (GL RFCA) Certificate for Meritorious Service to London Cadets in recognition of his contribution, dedication and commitment.

Capt King is the site manager at Darrick Wood Infant and Nursery School in Orpington and has volunteered with the army cadet force since 1987, re-joining the cadet unit he attended as a youngster. His current post is the Company Training Officer for 9 Coy SE London Army Cadet Force, based in Grove Park.

Speaking at the award ceremony, which was held at a meeting of the GLRFCA in central London, Capt King said: “I am extremely honoured to be recognised on behalf of a great team at South East London Sector Army Cadet Force.”
