Swanley man jailed for growing £18,000 of cannabis

A SWANLEY man has been jailed for two-and-a-half-years for growing cannabis with a street value of £18,000.

Jesse Yelding, 21, of Lime Road, appeared before Maidstone Crown Court yesterday and pleaded guilty to the production of the Class B drug and the illegal abstraction of electricity.

Police executed a search of Mr Yelding’s home on August 16 last year and found 48 cannabis plants in an upstairs bedroom.

They also discovered the electricity meter had been bypassed.

Investigating officer PC Paul Newton, of Kent Police, said: "Yelding had claimed the cannabis was for personal use but the amount of cannabis that could have been produced over the course of a year suggests otherwise.

"Illegal substances can be responsible for a number of other crimes, such as violence, anti-social behaviour and theft, so it is good news that we have stopped a sizeable amount of cannabis entering circulation in Kent."

How sad.
I use to live across the road from this family back in the early 80s.
And the house was getting raided for drugs on a regular basis back then.
The problem has clearly been passed down from generation to generation

Well done chazzy for promoting drugs.
Your just so clever. So Someone gets put away for growing a large amount of drugs. And you think it's ok . It just shows the sort of person you are yourself if your saying its ok to do. Have you got a spare room or two maybe when he gets out he can rent them off you. For a bit of farming. Not sure who's going to pay the electric bill.

U dont even **** no him hes my mate so i do nd u mite av money to feed urself nd children but e aint so e ad no choice. and if iv got a spare room wen e gets we mite av 2 grow copious amounts of ganja 2geva. and remember it was for his baby and we do any fings for our kids but i suppose u wouldnt or 2 stuck up your own arse nob!!!!!!!!!!

It's ilegal that's why he is where he is. The law is the same for everyone and guess what' drugs are ilegal. But then you wouldn't understand that obviously your a skag head yourself. And you would have no worries about sending your kids. Or nieces / nephews out on the streets pedling them. The majority of his family have probley been inside one time or another . Do you wonder why ? And just In case you did not know people go to work to earn money and pay bills. And also there is a well fare system.

And do you not no theres 2 MILLION people unemployed so do you wonder y people turn to drugs and you must not really no this family otherwise u would no this is his FIRST EVER TIME hes been in trouble so shame on you u FOOL

Chazzy your obviously a very scarey drug gangland warlord. Who loves their drugs. Why defend in indefensible he did the crime so now he's doing his time. Tough isn't it.
