Youths cleared over Crystal Palace Park cafe attempted break-in

THREE youths from Penge who were accused of attempting to break into the Crystal Palace Park café have had the charges against them dropped.

This comes after a 17-year-old teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to attempted burglary at Bromley Magistrates’ Court.

As a result of the Penge teenager’s plea, the Crown Prosecution Service decided to discontinue the case against 18-year-olds Dale Moss, of Upchurch Close, Jamie Elliott, of Wiverton Road, and 20-year-old Joseph Read, of Rosewell Close.

The 17-year-old was given a youth rehabilitation order, requiring him to undertake a gardening project for six days and participate in a re-focus workshop for six days, along with a 12 month supervision order.

He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation and £30 court costs at the court on March 5.

Wow, how harsh. That'll put the fear of god into him won't it.

And they wonder why people continue to commit crime. What a pathetic country we live in
