FOREST Hill shoppers are hoping to set an indoor cycling world record while raising money for charity - and they need your help.

Youth outdoor activity charity Widehorizons has joined up with Sainsbury's in Forest Hill for an attempt on the Guinness World Record.

People are being invited to come along on May 18 and cycle 1km on a gym exercise bike as part of a 24-hour relay.

In all, 300 people are needed to take part in the event - named Revolution 300 - and donate a £5 registration fee to the charity.

Sainsbury’s store manager Mike Miller said: "Participants will be helping to secure outdoor adventures for Forest Hill and Lewisham children in the future. That’s why we would love to see as many Forest Hill residents getting involved with the attempt as possible."
