A BURGLAR struck at a Lee home stealing the owner's collection of rare jewellery.
The victim, who lived at Ashdale Road, was away on holiday between February 18 and February 27 February when his home was burgled.
Police believe the thief may have used the property's wheelie bins to gain access to his back garden, smashing the patio door windows to enter the house.
A spokesman for Lewisham police said the jewellery was made up of rare items the victim had been collecting for years.
Anyone with information should call Lewisham's Serious Acquisitive Crime Unit on 020 284 8494 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
