A BOOKMAKER at Crayford Dog Track was followed home before being robbed at knifepoint by a gang.

The 51-year-old man, who worked as a trackside bookmaker at stadium in Stadium Way, was attacked after being driven home by his wife to Bexley at 10.30pm on March 9.

As the couple arrived at their home, they were approached by two white men and one of the suspects held a knife to the man’s neck.

He demanded “the bag with the money” before fleeing in a car with a four figure sum of cash and an iPhone 4.

The first man is described as being in his mid 20s, with dark hair and had spots on his skin. He was wearing a white tracksuit top.

Police say the second man was in his mid to late 20s with facial hair. He was wearing a hooded top which was possibly grey or dark blue.

The third white man, who was also in his 20s, had a long face and prominent teeth. He was wearing a burgundy coloured hooded top.

There is no description of the car used in the getaway.

Detectives from the Flying Squad at Tower Bridge are investigating the robbery and anyone with information should call 020 7232 6530 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
