TV presenter Angela Rippon visited Northfleet School for Girls to raise awareness of dementia among the young.

The Alzheimer's Society ambassador joined sixth-form students and dementia sufferers for a morning of dance, drama, dancing and music at the Hall Road school yesterday. (March 18)

In the weeks leading up to the event, students have been chatting to elderly dementia sufferers and compiled a book of their life which they presented to them on the day.

It is all part of a project, funded by Kent County Council and led by Gravesend-based Alzheimer's and Dementia Support Services.
