Frankie Boyle says Bromley life like a 'lobotomy made out of bricks'
COMEDIAN Frankie Boyle has said life in Bromley is like ‘a lobotomy made out of bricks'.
The controversial comic made the statement on Twitter at about 11pm last night (March 18).
He tweeted from his official account @frankieboyle: “I lived in Bromley for a couple of years. It was like someone had made a lobotomy out of bricks.”
The town was the subject of last night’s BBC3 programme Snog Marry Avoid? - broadcast around the same time as Boyle commented on Twitter - with members of the public transformed from “fakery” into “natural beauties”.
The BBC website describes how host Ellie Taylor was transformed into a “walking, talking, living doll, as she takes on a look popular with the locals”.
Boyle is well known for his stint on panel show Mock the Week and has been criticised many times for his stand-up material.
In 2008 he said Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington was like "someone who's looking at themselves in the back of a spoon" and two years later he made jokes about Katie Price’s disabled son Harvey.

Do people really still describe Frankie Boyle as a comic? Dropping him from Mock the Week was the best decision the BBC have made in a long time.

Frankie Boyle, meanwhile, is not so great and his sense of humour has dropped to insulting people and places rather than a gentle ribbing that even the victims can laugh along with.

Snog, Marry, Avoid started off with some bizarre comments about cockneys. Er, it was Bromley, Kent, not Bromley-by-Bow. And the two women given make-unders in the show were from Hastings and Croydon. The only connection to Bromley was that the pod was set up in Market Square and there were a few vox-pops from people who may or may not have been Bromley residents. Half an hour of my life I'll never get back! Frankie Boyle: no comment. He doesn't deserve any more publicity.

Just for all your information, if you don't like Boyle or anything else on the TV or radio, did you know there's a switch ?
