FIREFIGHTERS spent three hours extinguishing a blaze on a recycling plant in Crayford yesterday.
Four fire engines were scrambled to the plant, in Crayford Road, at 5.55pm.
The flames damaged part of an electrical shredding unit but no one was hurt.
Firefighters had the blaze under control by 8.46pm.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
