Lewisham Loampit Vale coach crash causes delays

A CRASH involving a car and a coach at the Loampit Vale roundabout in Lewisham has led to long delays this morning.

A spokesman for the London Fire Brigade confirmed three engines had been dispatched to the scene after reports that one person was trapped inside their vehicle.

An ambulance arrived at the scene at 8.30am and a spokesman said one patient, a woman in her 40s, was taken to Lewisham Hospital.

At this stage, it is not believed her injuries were serious.

Following the accident, congestion was reported on Lee High Road to Lee Green, on  Lewisham High Street to the Lewisham Park junction, on Loampit Vale to the Algernon Road junction and on Lewisham Road to the Blackheath Rise junction.
