Bromley Council wants residents' views for new planning strategy
12:10pm Friday 15th March 2013 in News By Patrick Grafton-Green
RESIDENTS are being asked for their views as the development of a new planning strategy for the Borough of Bromley gets underway.
Bromley Council's Local Plan will guide planning policy and development until 2030, with key priorities including how to retain Bromley’s distinctive local character and environment while accommodating the needs of community and business.
The initial stage involves finding out about the main issues affecting the future of the Borough.
Chairman of Development Control Committee Councillor Peter Dean said: "We are urging residents and others to give us their views so they can help us to determine the future of our borough.
"This is a very exciting time in which local people can help to shape Bromley’s future.
"Why not log on to the website or visit your local library and get involved."
The consultation period runs until April 15.
