OVER 70 firefighters fought the blaze after an industrial unit set alight at a farm in the Biggin Hill area last night (March 14).

It is thought some gas cylinders overheated, causing minor explosions and resulting in the fire at Highams Hill Farm, Sheepbarn Lane.

A total of 10 fire engines and 72 firefighters from Biggin Hill, Addington, Croydon Woodside and surrounding fire stations were called to the scene.

The Brigade was called to the blaze at 8.17pm.

No injuries have been reported but a large part of the single storey unit has been damaged by fire.

Fire crews were at the scene throughout this morning, while roads in the area are expected to remain closed until tomorrow.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Brigade’s Fire Investigation Unit and the Metropolitan Police.

This isn't Biggin Hill at all. It's Warlingham. Post code CR6. Typical NS sloppy reporting

Your right there. The water fairies feel safer in numbers. A few water fairies have told me that these types are the boring ones, where all you do is sit around.

Maybe true but its still in Warlingham CR6 not Biggin Hill you thick ****. Look up the correct address and you will see the truth and the fact that the NS heading is just plain untrue saying "at Biggin Hill farm".

Petra69 while Google will tell you that Highams Hill Farm is in Warlingham with a CR6 postcode it is actually in Darwin Ward, in the borough of Bromley.
One quick Google does not an expert make.

petra69 says that because Highams Farm has a CR6 post code it is in Warlingham. Biggin Hill has a TN16 post code but it is not in Tunbridge Wells
