Bromley police cadets dishing out crime prevention advice
8:30am Wednesday 13th March 2013 in News By Robert Fisk
POLICE cadets will be out in force this spring giving people tips about how to not be victims of crime in Bromley.
The youngsters will be helping safer neighbourhood teams (SNT) by manning crime prevention stalls and dishing out advice around burglary, mobile phone thefts, credit cards and scams.
And they will also be pounding the streets delivering leaflets to homes.
One of the first stops to help SNTs was in West Wickham where they handed out leaflets and personal safety devices in the High Street.
The team’s acting sergeant Coleman Sullivan said: “Hundreds of crime prevention leaflets, anti-burglary marking kits and personal safety devices were handed out and many residents praised the cadets for giving up their Saturday afternoon to do something positive for their community."
