Greeenwich and Bexley Credit Union launches new website

GREENWICH and Bexley Credit Union has launched a new website as an alternative to high street banks and payday lenders. 

The not-for-profit community organisation, which provides savings and loans for local people, has developed the site to make it easier for members to manage their money.

It features online account management and the ability for people to apply for a credit union account online.

Once members of the credit union have saved a minimum of £10 a month for three months they can apply for an affordable loan if they need one, at a fixed rate of 1 per cent interest per month. 

President Alan Stevens said: "The credit union is a great way to save, and we offer affordable loans if you need to borrow funds. Most importantly, we’re not out to make a profit – so you can trust us to provide a better way to save and borrow."
