A BUSY teenager is hoping to get a lot busier by winning a prestigious modelling competition.

Abiola Efunshile, from Bromley, is in her final year at Townley Grammar School and is juggling auditions for performing arts courses with school work and photoshoots.

And the 17-year-old is also preparing for the grand final of UK Top Model in the natural beauty category.

She was put forward for the competition by her online agency StarNow and is thrilled to have made it through to this stage of the contest.

After beating thousands of competitors from across the United Kingdom to secure a place in the grand final she could be chosen to model at prestigious London Fashion Week events.

And if she wins the final at the London Hilton Metropole hotel on April 12 she will win prizes including a trip to Malta.

She said: “I have always loved taking photographs as well as having mine taken.

“This time though it is not just about the modelling. “Through my involvement in the competition I will be helping to raise funds for Children with Cancer UK, which does incredible work.”

Abiola is one of 42 people to have been selected for the final stage of the competition, which will be attended by representatives of some of the country’s top fashion designers.

This is the fourth consecutive year Top Model UK has supported Children with Cancer UK.

The Great Ormond Street based charity relies solely on public donations.
