Chislehurst hit-and-run update: police rebail suspect

A 44-YEAR-OLD man accused of being the hit-and-run driver who knocked a cyclist over in Chislehurst has been rebailed.

The suspect, from Catford, has been bailed to return to Bromley police station on April 10.

Police arrested him on October 26 last year on suspicion of GBH, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

His arrest came 11 days after a cyclist, a Bromley College lecturer in his 60s, was hit by a car in Chislehurst Road, near the junction with Berryfield Close.

The victim was released from hospital in mid-January with a mobility frame.
