Christina Murray.
A CHARITY event will be held this Saturday (March 9) in memory of Bromley woman Christina Murray, who was choked to death by her partner in Beckenham in 2004.
The event is at Bickley and Widmore Social Club, Tylney Road, and is being organised by Christina Murray's daughter, Terrie Murray, to raise money for domestic abuse charity Women's Aid.
It will take place between 11am and 3pm and will consist of a pamper day, with many professional treatments available - from a masseur to a hair stylist, beauticians, and even a medium and tarot reader.
It is the first of many charity events that Terrie Murray, 26, of Sidcup, is planning for Women's Aid this year.
She said: "My mum sadly fell victim to domestic abuse in 2004 and lost her life, so my aim now is to stop feeling like a victim too and to help raise awareness of an amazing charity.
"If all the events I have planned this year help just one female or child in need then I did something positive from something so awful."
