Thief with 36 inch waist breaks into Bromley Road Barnardo's

A THIEF with a 36 inch waist broke into children's charity shop Barnardo's, Bromley Road, last night, stealing several items including three pairs of jeans.

At some point during the night the individual climbed on to the roof of the building and entered via a small window in an upstairs bathroom, which was smashed.

As well as the three pairs of 36 inch jeans, the thief stole four or five items of men's clothing, two pairs of ladies trousers, two watches and some other electrical items.

A substantial amount of damage was caused to the lockers in the store, but no money was taken.

Store Manager Linda Sanders, 55, said: "We are pretty upset.

"You work hard making money for charity and people like this wreck it.

"It's pennies for them and we are going to have to spend hundreds of pounds repairing the damage."

It is not the first time Barnardo's has been broken into - a few years ago an eight foot by eight foot shed was stolen from the store, much to the bemusement of the police.

Talk about discrimating fat people!! The guys probably a tramp and with the price of charity shop goods I'm not surprised!

Funny how they know EXATLY what was taken and in what sizes.
Noway will a member off staff know every single item in that shop.
I'm smelling **** in this story somewhere.

Why is the thief a "he" - who's discriminating now? Sadly plenty of women steal too. Or maybe they popped a little kiddy through the small window - that's quite common too I believe.

But yes, someone should have told 'em Primarni sell stuff cheaper than Barnardo's. Whoever it was has gotta be bottom of the pile to steal from a charity.

Sad times :(

Just because the thief took the size 36 jeans doesn't mean they were the ones with the 36" waistline!!

How do they know that the person even had a 36" waist ?

And by saying 'guys' doesn't mean you refer specifically to the male gender.

But NS saying 36" and not a size 22 is slightly implying its male, no?
