12:56pm Wednesday 27th February 2013 in News By Alan Woods
A 25-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with five offences after failing to stop for police in Gravesend.
Anil Suman, 25, of Cimba Wood, was driving a Ford Transit van in the area of St Hilda’s Way when he was clocked by police officers on Saturday.
Following a short police chase, the vehicle was stopped in Cervia Way and two people were arrested.
Suman was later charged with driving a vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence, using a vehicle without insurance and failing to stop a vehicle when directed by an officer.
He also faces charges of drink driving and dangerous driving.
An 18-year-old woman from Gravesend, who was also in the van at the time, was released without charge.
Suman has been bailed to attend Dartford Magistrates Court on April 11.
