NORTH West Kent Muslim Association opened its doors to non-Muslims for the day with a special exhibition.

Around 200 people attended the free event on February 23 at the former Methodist Church in Crayford High Street.

The day aimed to promote better understanding of Islam and forge closer community ties.

There was food, henna hand painting, talks from members and activities for children on offer as well as display panels with information about Islam.

Visitors could quiz members and were given a tour of the building.

Free gift packs were handed out including an English translation of the Quran.
