THE funeral of a 20-year-old woman who died after being knocked down by a car in Swanley took place today. (Feb 25)

Friends and family of much-loved Victoria Woodbridge gathered at the Church of St Peter and St Paul in Farningham to say goodbye.

The former Hextable School pupil was walking back from seeing her boyfriend when she was hit by a brown Volkswagen Touran in London Road on Wednesday, Jan 30.

Police and ambulance staff were called to the junction with Brook Road at around 6pm - close to her home in Laburnum Avenue.

She was taken by ambulance to King's College Hospital with serious head and pelvic injuries but was unable to be saved.
