A MAN in his 40s has been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a kitchen fire in the Bellingham area this morning (February 20).
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus rescued the man from a maisonette in Melfield Gardens, near Beckenham Hill station, at about 8.20am, and he was then treated by ambulance staff.
He was then taken to Lewisham Hospital as a priority.
