THE family of baby Dennie Dolan who had his finger bitten off by a fox has moved out of the home where it happened.

They were found a new property by their housing association Phoenix Community Housing after Dennie’s mum Hayley Cawley said she would never go back to the house in Dagonet Road.

She did not want to relive the memories of how she saw a fox trying to drag her youngest child out of the home.

In interviews last week she said it had Dennie’s left hand in its jaws and his head was covered in blood and it was running down his cheeks.

The 28-year-old kept hitting the fox until it let go of her son.

Dennie had to undergo a lengthy operation to have his finger reattached and needed stitches to his cheek.

The exact location of their new home is not known but it is believed to still be in Downham.

Will it be a fox-free part of Downham? Or just a slightly bigger house?
