Been tasked with booking your best mate’s stag do? Don’t despair, just put your feet up and read as The Stag Company outlines five fantastic activities that make Brighton the place to go.

Murder mystery evening

Probably not something you’d consider when first thinking about your stag weekend, but think about it, an evening spent in a Victorian building trying to figure out whodunit?! Depending on the evening you book for you’ll have a meal included in the package, during which you’ll see the whole ordeal unfold, with clues being served up for those with eagle eyes.

With all manner of set-ups, including where one of your group will be the guilty party and prizes for correctly guessing the culprit, murder mystery evenings are a sure-fire way of kickstarting an enjoyable night in Brighton!

Night at the dogs

Perhaps something you might not book on such as special an occasion, but with its own greyhound stadium Brighton offers a great night at the dogs. You can go for a special package that includes a three-course meal and you’ll even sponsor one of the evening’s races!

After you’ve spent the evening at the stadium in Hove it is just a matter of getting a taxi back into Brighton before you can continue your evening in whatever manner you wish. You’ll find plenty of places to visit and frequent in Brighton with your stag party.

Comedy club

We all love a good laugh don’t we? You can’t help but giggle at the comedians on 8 out of 10 cats or Mock the Week, so why not experience something like that in a live setting? There are a number of comedy clubs in Brighton, including the well-known Komedia.

Most nights you’ll find a range of up-and-coming comedians and sketch shows performing in the city’s comedy clubs, and this is especially true at the weekends. So grab a table, get a few drinks and have a few belly laughs, it’ll put you in the perfect mood for a night out on the tiles.

Casino

Let’s face it; we’d all like to be flash with the cash in a casino, doing our best De Niro or Pesci impersonation.

Although many of us will never reach those giddy heights it doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy ourselves on a smaller scale.

Brighton has a couple of good casinos that can be found close to the city centre, with one facing the coast just a few steps away from the pier.

Also, I’m unsure if this is a good thing or not but some casinos in Brighton are open 24 hours a day. Fancy an early afternoon flutter? No problem. Can’t sleep? Play a few hands of poker. Bit dangerous really, but that’s what gambling is all about.

Karaoke

Not everybody’s cup of tea, but then again try asking those who said ‘no’ the first time around after they’ve had a few drinks - nothing like a few frosty beverages to get the shy ones up on stage.

News Shopper: Singing

Whether you want to belt out a classic or mumble through a recent chart hit, the choice is yours. Of course the karaoke machines might not have EVERY song that you and your friends want to sing but rest assured that you’ll all be able to find plenty of songs to tackle.
