GRAVESENDER Gemma Arterton once punched a tramp in the face, she has revealed.

The former Gravesend Grammar School for Girls pupil turned Bond Girl was on the Graham Norton Show on BBC1 when she told him about the incident.

She was there to promote her latest film Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters and the 27-year-old said the combat training came in handy when she punched a homeless man for squeezing her bottom.

Ms Arterton said: “I was in one of those ATM cash machine rooms and there was a tramp in there.

“He kept looking at me and then he grabbed my bum really hard. “I turned round and properly punched him in the face.

“ I then realised I’d punched a tramp in the face so I ran. “Thank God he didn’t punch me back.

“I actually felt quite bad about it.”

Hansel and Gretel is due out in cinemas on February 27.
