Grandmother injured in crash in Station Square, Petts Wood, now stable in hospital
A GRANDMOTHER who was hit by a car while she was with her grandchild in Petts Wood is now stable, conscious and awake in hospital.
The 63-year-old is being kept under observation at King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill, after being admitted on Friday afternoon with a light bleed on the brain.
She was knocked to the ground by a grey VW Sharan which was reversing in Station Square near The Daylight Inn and Sainsbury’s supermarket at around noon on Friday (February 8).
Her 23-month-old grandchild was also taken to hospital following the incident and she was treated for minor cuts before being discharged the same day.
Police cordoned off the road for around three-and-a-half hours while they were investigating what happened.
The driver of the VW Sharan stopped at the scene.
There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
