THREE people have been arrested following the theft of antique coins and medals worth up to £80,000.
Overnight on January 12 a car belonging to a dealer parked in a street in the Bromley North area, was broken into and two crates containing historical coins and medals were stolen. The dealer had been due to attend an exhibition in the Midlands the following day and the haul is valued to be worth between £50,000 and £80,000.
Bromley police investigated the incident and arrested a 41-year-old woman, of Victoria Crescent, Lambeth, last Wednesday (Feb 6).
A 38-year-old man of Holmesdale Road, Croydon, was also arrested last Thursday.
They were both charged on suspicion of handling stolen goods and possession of cannabis and remain in custody.
A further suspect, aged 43, from Lambeth, was arrested last Friday in connection with this investigation. All three have been bailed until March 11.
