A MAN had to be taken to hospital after being stabbed in a fight near Penge West station.

The victim, who is said to be in his 20s, was found suffering from a stab wound in Anerley Park Road at around 4.20pm on Thursday (February 7).

His injury was quickly deemed not to be life threatening and he is now believed to have been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

Police cordoned off Anerley Park Road and the area near the station while they investigated the incident.

It was reopened by around 7pm the same day.

There have been no arrests.
