Burglar Kenny Ward jailed after more than 90 burglary offences across south London
A PROLIFIC burglar who admitted to committing more than 90 offences across Croydon, Bromley and Sutton dating back to 2005 has been jailed for three years.
Kenny Ward, of Frimley Close, Croydon, was jailed at Croydon Crown Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to two counts of residential burglary.
Ward also admitted to a further 92 burglary offences over eight years.
The 42-year-old has 20 previous convictions.
These include convictions for burglary, theft and forced entry into premises.
Ward stole high value goods such as iPads and Apple Mac computers.
He also took jewellery including items of sentimental value such as wedding rings.
He would then sell the goods to get cash to fund his drug habit.
Ward was arrested by officers from the London Crime Squad on November 14 on suspicion of committing two burglaries that day in New Addington and Shirley.
While he was in custody he admitted to the further 92 offences.
Detective Chief Inspector Lee Hill, of the London Crime Squad, said: "Ward is a prolific cross-border burglar. “His sentence reflects the gravity and scale of his offending.
"This was a joint investigation with Croydon borough and I would like to thank everyone involved.”
