Princess Royal University Hospital to review restaurant opening hours decision

The PRUH substantially reduced restaurant opening hours this month. The PRUH substantially reduced restaurant opening hours this month.

AFTER coming under fire from staff and patients, the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough has decided to review the decision to reduce its restaurant opening hours.

From this month the restaurant is only open from 7.30am to 2.30pm on weekdays and is closed entirely on weekends.

It was previously open from 7am to 7pm throughout the week and weekend.

This led to fears that hard working doctors and nurses would struggle to get a proper meal for much of the week, with members of the public complaining the decision showed a complete disregard for people who use the facilities.

The PRUH have announced: "After careful consideration and listening to the views of our staff and patients, we have recognised the concerns and this is now being reviewed."

They have been caught treating their staff and other canteen users as if they were elderly patients.
Lets hope the review panel in their cosy offices with kettles etc. recognise the need for their frontline staff to be fed and watered during their hours of work and not just in shortened office hours.

Anyone with half a brain would have asked , and listened to, their staff and patients first BEFORE making a decision. The management at the PRUH beggar belief !!
