Cray Wanderers crashed to a 5-1 home defeat versus Enfield Town as a difficult run of results continued for the team on Tuesday night.

Since the start of December the Wands have taken only six points from a possible thirty-six and have slipped from ninth to sixteenth in the Ryman Premier League table.

Player departures, injuries and suspensions have left Cray manager Ian Jenkins needing to halt the slide.

Off the field too, the Wands have their difficulties after they learned in September that Bromley Council would not allow their application to build a new stadium at Sandy Lane in St Paul's Cray, to secure the club's future.

Gary Hillman the club Chairman, currently away on holiday, has vowed to continue trying to work out a solution with Bromley Council. At the moment, the Wands ground-share with Bromley FC at Hayes Lane, but that arrangement is due to expire in 2014.

Cray travel to play Kingstonian on Saturday (3pm) and are home to East Thurrock United on Tuesday 12 February (7.45pm).
