SIDCUP High Street is to get its very own £1.8m makeover in 2013.
Bexley Council’s In Store For Sidcup project is looking to improve the built environment in the area and help local businesses grow.
The programme is supported by £1.2m from Mayor of London Boris Johnson's Outer London Fund, on top of £600,000 from the council.
In Store for Sidcup will select businesses to offer health check sessions and advice while there is a pot of funds available for small business improvement grants.
Council cabinet member for economic development and regeneration, Councillor Linda Bailey, said: "We want to hear the views of residents, businesses and visitors to Sidcup about changing the High Street for the better."
A launch event on February 5 at the new Discovery Incubator venue, 9-11 High Street, will allow residents to meet the In Store for Sidcup team.
There will be two presentations at 4.30pm and 6.30pm and more details are available at instoreforsidcup.org
