Gravesend man accused of telling £79,000 lottery winner he had won £10 to stand trial

A SALES assistant alleged to have told a £79,000 lottery winner he had won just £10 has pleaded not guilty.
Imran Pervais, aged 26, of Milton Road in Gravesend, appeared at Maidstone Crown Court charged with fraud by false representation on Friday (JAN 28).
The charge relates to an incident on May 18 last year when a customer presented a ticket worth £79,887 to him at a store in Gravesend.
It is alleged Pervais told the winner he had won just £10.
The Crown Prosecution Service claims he did this in order to gain the winnings himself.
A two-day trial will begin at the same court on February 18.
