GREENWICH youngsters are coming together tonight (Jan 23) to pitch community projects to a panel of experts.

Young people from Kidbrooke's Samuel Montagu centre and the London Youth organisation will pitch their plans for positive projects in the area.

It is part of a London-wide programme aimed at encouraging young people to get active in their community, and show that they can shape future services and activities to improve people’s lives.

Samuel Montagu manager Megan Pakham said: "This programme has really helped young people in Kidbrooke feel that they can change their community for the better.

"Lots of young people across Greenwich want  to get involved in having their say about the things that affect them.

"This youth panel gives them a chance to test their ideas – and if they are successful, they will receive real funding to put them into action."
