Great-grandma Lily Miller celebrates 100th birthday in Bexleyheath

A GREAT-GRANDMA and "lovely mum" has celebrated reaching 100 with a family bash in Bexleyheath.
Lily Miller marked the milestone with 20 relatives at the Adelaide Care Centre in West Street the day after receiving her telegram from the Queen.
The great-grandmother of 12 may even have had a cheeky tipple as enjoying the odd whisky is one reason for her longevity.
At least that's what her youngest daughter Jackie Kent, 59, suggests.
Born on January 15, 1913, Mrs Kent’s mum met her docker dad Alf around the East End while she worked at the Tate and Lyle factory in Silvertown.
They married in 1933 and had four children before Alf passed away in 1979.
Mrs Kent said: "She is just a lovely mum and was there for us all when we needed her.
"She enjoyed herself too."
