Antique coins and jewellery stolen in Bromley burglary
4:14pm Tuesday 15th January 2013 in News By Heloise Wood
RARE historical artefacts have been stolen in a burglary on Bromley.
The thieves, who broke in on January 7, stole a rare Marie Theresa solid silver coin pendant dating back to the 1700s, a 1965 Churchill Commemorative Coin and two 1977 Silver Jubilee Commemorative Coins.
This break in follows figures released last week which showed Bromley’s burglary rate has boomed over the last year.
The number of residential break-ins in the borough has increased by 17 per cent from November 2011 from 1,912 in 2011 to 2,240 in 2012 despite a one per cent drop in burglaries London-wide.
If you have information on this incident, call Bromley Police's CID on 020 8284 9965 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
