Bexley Council offering free 'warm home' checks this winter
7:53am Friday 11th January 2013 in News By Alan Woods
BEXLEY Council is offering homeowners the chance to ensure their properties are energy efficient this winter.
The council has secured funding from the Department of Health to offer its popular Warm Home Schemes.
Open to all adults, the council can arrange for an energy adviser to visit your home and point out where the property is losing energy and simple changes that could save money.
The adviser will also check whether the property needs improved insulation and advise of any grants to which the homeowner may be entitled.
Bexley Council’s cabinet member for adults' services Councillor Chris Taylor said: "I’m delighted we can offer the Warm Homes Scheme again this year.
"We're all trying to reduce our energy costs and this is one way that can really make a difference."
