A YOGA teacher in Bromley has donated funds from her classes to a charity after reading about its plight in News Shopper.
Lisa Bird learned in July last year that Bromley Bereavement Service was at risk of losing its PCT funding and this financial support finished two months later (Sept 2012).
The support group is based above St Mary's Church Hall in College Road and receives around 80 grieving clients each week.
Ms Bird, who donated £80, said: "I read about the service’s funding issues in News Shopper a few months ago.
"I lost my dad in 2001 and went to them for some bereavement counselling - they were very helpful and supportive.
"Their offices are in the same building where I teach one of my Hatha Yoga classes,so I wanted to give something back."
