CCTV stills have been released after a 19-year-old woman had her iPhone snatched at Catford Bridge station.

The woman, from Stratford, was standing alone in the station at 8pm on December 2 with a white iPhone 4S in her hand.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Rachel Smith from British Transport Police said: "A few minutes later she became aware of a male standing very close behind her.

"He ordered her to hand over her phone and then grabbed it out of her hand before running out of the station in the direction of Adenmore Road."

Police want to trace the man shown in this CCTV in connection with the incident.

Agreed, the CCTV image is awful. If the mugger sees this article, I wouldn't have thought he'd be sitting there too worried about being caught. Still, let's hope that he does get caught.

There's no excuse for operating such shockingly poor and outdated CCTV - looks like it was shot in 1912 not 2012!

What an excellent likeness, skeletor from He Man has obvioulsy fallen on hard times and has to resort to theft on trains. Good job this wasnt terrorism, that CCTV is no better thena useless.
