Cray Wanderers came back from two goals down to earn a 3-3 draw at Harrow Borough on Saturday.

It was a "game of two halves" very much affected by the strong wind.

The wind gave home advantage to Harrow in the first half, starting after just ninety seconds when a long clearance downfield from goalkeeper Elvijs Putnins bounced once and flew over the head of Cray 'keeper Andy Walker to put Harrow ahead.

Walker made some good saves as Harrow pressed their advantage, but on 42 minutes the Wands conceded again.

It was a different story after the interval, with Cray rallying to hold a 3-2 lead thanks to goals from Paul Vines (2) and Danny Phillips.

Harrow equalised on 80 minutes to make it 3-3 and Cray were denied a last-minute winner when Leigh Bremner put the ball in the net but a free-kick was awarded to Harrow instead.

Cray: Walker, Burgess, Sterling, Day, Willy, J Vines, P Vines, Stavrinou, Bremner, Phillips, Fray (Power 59).

Cray are at home to Concord Rangers on Wednesday 2 January (7.45pm).
